The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) Conducts Weekly High Council Meeting
On Sunday, July 09, 2017, the AGO High Council conducted a meeting chaired by Deputy Attorney General (DAG) for Investigation, Saranpooh Noor Habib Jalal.
At the beginning, members discussed finalizing the procedure for utilizing and spending operation budget of the Directorate of Control and Monitoring Prosecution Office. And after corrections and amendments, the Council approved the procedure which was presented in the previous meeting too.
Members also discussed the request for instruction of the Directorate of Audit and Prosecution regarding violation cases of three prosecutors in provinces.
The Council, in support of the fight against corruption, decided that these prosecutors should be suspended due to violations in the workplace and the case must be investigated and reviewed for further clarification.
Moreover, the Council members gave necessary instructions on execution and finalization of two issues received by the AGO Directorate of Advisory Board.
Likewise, the Council instructed that the cases of prisoners growing old in prisons should be decided in accordance with the President’s decree.
