The purpose of this decree is to protect the businessmen, industrialists, traders and their property, dignity, children, family and relatives. Coordination among security, investigative and justice institutions in protecting the businessmen is another purpose of the mentioned decree.

Mr. Khan Jan Alokozay, Head of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce says that establishment of this committee was discussed in a conference conducted by the AGO. Despite the fact that this committee is new, but Mr. Alokozay is optimistic about it. He says: “This committee will greatly be effective in preventing investors from leaving the country and encouraging investment in Afghanistan”.
Mr. Alokozay believes that this committee will also be very effective in preventing unnecessary interventions of some of the government institutions in business affairs, traders’ harassment and fighting corruption.
The main duties of this committee are creating coordination among investigative, security and justice institutions for addressing kidnaping cases and maintaining the security of private sector members, as well as providing related necessary suggestions to the National High Council for Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption.
