Attorney General’s Office (AGO) Introduces Eight New Provincial and Central Directors

On Wednesday, November 29, 2017, based on a presidential decree, these eight new directors were officially introduced in the presence of Saranpoh Noor Habib Jamal, Deputy Attorney General (DAG) for Investigation affairs, Mrs. Shina Mansoor, Deputy Attorney General (DAG) for Elimination of Violence against Women, Juvenile Violation and Human Rights Support and some other AGO directors at AGO Main located in Shar-e-Naw.

At the orientation ceremony, DAG Noor Habib Jamal said, “The purpose of new appointments is to better serve people, seriously combat the corruption, provide justice and rule of law which is part of AGO’s commitments to the Afghan People.” DAG Jamal said that with new appointments current deficiencies and problems would be solved in a better way.

He wished the new directors best of luck in their duties towards eliminating violence against women, providing justice and rule of law in the society.

One of the new appointed directors appreciating AGO’s trust said that they would perform their duties with accuracy, seriousness, decisiveness, and integrity.

Based on the mentioned decree these people were introduced in Central and Provincial Appellate Prosecution Offices to ensure efficiency, establish fair administration and develop performance.

Based on the decree, Mohammad Sadeq Farahi appointed as Attorney General’s advisor, Shazia Yousufi as General Director for Elimination of Violence against Women and Mohammad Wali Hashimi as Investigation Director for Elimination of Violence against Women, Mr. Esa as Director of Helmand Appellate Prosecution Office, Mr. Abdul Matin as Director of Paktika Appellate Prosecution Office and Mr. Asadullah Waziri as Director of Jawzjan Appellate Prosecution Office. Salam Jan Qalamyar was introduced as Director of Laghman Appellate Prosecution Office and Mohammad Yahya as Director of Kunduz Appellate Prosecution Office for Military Affairs.
