Cooperation Meeting Held at AGO Between Judicial Entities, MOFA, and MOI

This meeting was held on 5th September 2019 on Attorney General’s Office (AGO) about the extradition of offenders on abroad.
Participants of this meeting discussed the simplification and speeding of the performance of these entities in order to extradite criminals from foreigner countries or sending the criminals to their related countries.
During this meeting it was decided to identify the challenges in this area and to develop a mechanism or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Attorney General’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Justice.
In another part of this meeting, the participants talked about the E-Sending and E-Receiving of Letters for arresting the criminals in order to expedite the process and to accurately fill the arresting forms.
However, Afghanistan became a member of International Police (Interpol) in 2002 and on 2012 established an independent directory as “Directory of Interpol” within Ministry of Interior.
The sole purpose for the creation of Interpol in the world was to facilitate among the members' countries, to coordinate their judicial and prosecution entities and to prosecute and arrest those criminals who are fleeing from one to another country.
