Harm of Corruption is not Less Than Terrorism
During the inauguration of the second day of the conference on Joint- Counter corruption in Security and Defense Sectors, Brigadier General Abdul Fatah Azizi, Deputy Attorney General (DAG) for Military Affairs stated, “Harm of corruption is not less than terrorism” The conference continue with presence of Saranpoh Mohammad Farid Hamidi, Attorney General, and other high-ranking officials of Attorney General, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, and National Directorate of Security. DAG Azizi added that one of the AGO objectives is to eradicate corruption within defense and security organs.
He recognized the existence of corruption in security and defense entities as harmful and added, “Existence of corruption in security and defense entities directly impacts combating operations of armed forces and decreases their success rate”.
He believes that corruption paves the way for casualties among defense and security forces.
In the second day of the conference, participants were divided into five groups and discussed current challenges of in defense and security forces pertaining to corruption. The group members suggested effective solutions for eradicating these challenges as well.
The conference covered the procedure to reform Tashkeel System, cadre, procurement, finance, logistics and distribution of different ammunitions.
