Inauguration of Justice and Judicial Center for Combatting Heavy Crimes of Administrative Corruption
Recently, the National Unity Government established the Justice and Judicial Center for Anti-Corruption to combat administrative corruption decisively in Afghanistan. During the program held at Attorney General’s Office to start official activities of the center, Saranpooh Farid Hamidi, Attorney General of the country, promised to fight administrative corruption. Mr. Hamidi reiterated the respect of people’s honor and dignity. He added that his job is independent and away from political interference while fighting against administrative corruption.
The Attorney General linked success of fighting against administrative corruption with cooperation of the government, people, civil institutions, and media and requested different groups of people to cooperate in this regard. He promised people a transparent fight against administrative corruption and regularly updating the public about anti-corruption activities.
According to the Attorney General, the basis of staff selection in the Justice and Judicial Center for Combatting Heavy Crimes of Administrative Corruption is in full consideration of accomplishing this important duty.
Meanwhile, the appointment of Mohammad Alif Urfani as General Director of Justice and Judicial Center for Combatting Heavy Crimes of Administrative Corruption confirmed following a presidential decree. During the oath ceremony, Mr. Urfani and his colleagues promised the people of Afghanistan to combat against administrative corruption conclusively.
Administrative corruption has been the biggest challenge faced by the Afghan government and its people. By establishment of the center, the fight against administrative corruption will have merit and positive results to stop corruption.
