Introduction of Three AGO Directors in the Capital

On May 31, 2017, three Attorney General’s Office (AGO) Directors officially started working in their positions. The recently appointed directors were introduced by the Deputy Attorney General (DAG) for Administrative and Finance Affairs, Wahiduddin Arghon, and the DAG for Judicial and Investigation Affairs, Dr. Ghulam Haider Allama.

The new Director for Central Public Security Prosecution Office is Arash, son of Enayatullah, who holds a Bachelor of Law degree. The new Director for Central Appellate Prosecution Office, Allama Jan, son of Ghulam Jan, holds a Bachelor of Law degree. Appointed as the new Director of the Professional Training Institute is Jamshid Rasouli, son of Ghulam Mustafa, who holds  a Bachelor of Law degree and also serves as the AGO Spokesperson.

The DAG for Administrative and Finance Affairs appreciated the work and performance of Jamshid Rasouli. He believes that as a spokesman, Mr. Rasouli has established a good working relationship with the media. Mr. Arghon further added, “The Professional Training Institute is very important for the AGO. This institute is responsible for building capacity of the AGO towards maintaining justice in the society.”

Appreciating performance of the AGO Leadership Board, Mr. Rasouli noted the AGO intention to stand committed and honest in building capacity of its employees. He believes that expertise and commitment could help prosecutors in defending public rights and freedom. The Professional Training Institute will work hard to build capacity and support rule of law in Afghanistan.  

Mr. Allama commended the performance of the former acting directors of these departments. He believes that employees have been able to proceed with their administrative tasks even in the absence of directors.

Arash Kamal thanked the AGO Leadership Board’s trust in his abilities and will utilize the experience of his colleagues to help accomplish duties and affairs in a better manner.

The three new directors were appointed based on the AGO request approved by the President on May 28, 2017.
