Open Appellate Trial of Two Individuals Held In the Justice and Judicial Center

The Justice and Judicial Center for Serious Corruption Crimes held the appellate trial of two individuals for usurping government land and failure in implementation of the law.

On March 13, 2017, the Court openly tried two persons named Sayed Hashim, son of Sayed Hassan, and Mohammad Rahman, son of Mohammad Razwan.

The Court sentenced Sayed Hashim to two (2) years imprisonment for the charge of destructing 350 meters of government land according to article 344 of the Penal Code.  In addition, the court sentenced him to four (4) years imprisonment for the charge of usurping 18 acres and 16 besva (1 besva = 10 square meters) of government land according to article 12(3.1) Annex no. 4 of the Penal Code in line with article 145.  As the crimes of destructing and usurping land are the same, his sentence included severe punishment of four (4) years imprisonment according to article 156 of the Penal Code.

The court sentenced Mohammad Rahman, son of Mohammad Razwan, to one (1) year imprisonment for the charge of usurping two (2) acres and 19 besvah of government land and failure in proper implementation of the law according to article 12.1 Annex no. 4 of the Penal Code.

A third trial will occur after the Primary and Appellate Court trials to determine the fate of Sayed Hashim, son of Sayed Hassan, and Mohammad Rahman, son of Mohammad Razwan.
