AGO Sent the Case of Bribery to Court after Completing its Investigation

Jowzjan Prosecution Office completed its investigation about the bribery case of the Financial and Admin Manager of Jowzjan Provincial Council on 2nd September 2019 and sent it to the Primary Court of Jowzjan.

In this case, the defendant took bribery of 50,000 AFN and 100 US$ from one of the compatriot at Jowzjan province.

According to the lawsuit filed by the assigned prosecutor, the defendant paid bribery for this official to release his detained vehicle (Canadian Corolla) which was seized by the NSD of the Jowzjan province for cooperating with the enemy of the country.

The assigned prosecutor, based on the evidence which proves the crime demand from the Jowzjan Provincial Primary Court to apply the 4th Paragraph of Article 371, 2nd Paragraph of Article 375 and 1st Paragraph of Article 385 of the Penalty Code on him.

It is worth mentioning that the defendant was arrested on the 28th of August 2019 and during the investigation he confessed about his own crime.
