26 Prisoners Released From Khost JailThese prisoners were released based on the pardon and remission decree of the Presidential Palace of Afghanistan for honoring the centenary of the independence of Afghanistan and Eid Adha while rebating the imprisonment term of two others.

In a ceremony held on 24th October 2019, Rahimullah Rameh, Director of Khost Prosecution Office, Manager of Khost Jail and a number of members from the implementation of the Presidential Palace’s decree was present.

Mr. Rahmeh pointing to the released prisoners said, “those who are again committing crimes, they will not be benefited from next pardon and remission decrees. For this reason, try your best to find a sound occupation and make their lives in accordance with the law and regulations.”

He further added that prison is not a place of torturing for prisoners, but those who are disturbing the order of law, they are imprisoned in accordance with the law in order to be regenerated.

On the other hand, the released prisoners regretted their past actions and appraised the officials of Khost Prosecution Office and authorities of Khost Jail for their excellent behaviors.
